Lazizi Mara Limited Reaffirms Commitment to Stakeholders Amid Legal Proceedings
NAROK, Kenya, Nov 27 – Amid ongoing public conversation regarding The Ritz-Carlton Masai Mara Safari Camp, Lazizi Mara Limited has assured its stakeholders that the matter is currently before the courts under active litigation.
The company emphasized its commitment to transparency and legal due process as it navigates the ongoing legal action concerning the project.

In a statement Lazizi Mara Limited says it has formally responded to the petition with comprehensive evidence.
They note that they have have provided in court the following documents: All correspondence between Lazizi Mara Limited and Narok County on lease application and dating back to 2023, Approval letter, The lease.
Environmental Impact Assesment report with evidence of public participation, Correspondence from NEMA to petitioner confirming its compliance and Correspondence from Narok County to petitioner, confirming that due process was followed.
They clarified that the petitioner is fully aware that The Ritz-Carlton is neither the operator nor the owner of the facility the developer and operator of the project is Lazizi Mara Limited.
“In line with our commitment to due process and respect for the rule of law, Lazizi Mara Limited has chosen to allow the court process to proceed without engaging in further public debate”, reads the statement.
“We also note that, despite filing the petition in August, the petitioner is yet to serve all parties listed in his suit as respondents this deliberate delay continues to drag out the court process”.
Further, they confirm that both the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott conducted their own independent, in-depth due diligence before granting Lazizi Mara Limited the brand licence.
“Lazizi Mara Limited is fortunate to have their continued support as the matter progresses, We remain confident in the judicial process and will continue to comply fully with all legal requirements as the case proceeds”.
