CS Mvurya: All set for 2024 TotalEnergies CHAN Final
NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 29 – The Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Youth and Creative Economy Hon. Salim Mvurya has said all preparations are complete for 2024 TotalEnergies CHAN Continental tournament Closing ceremony on 30th August 2025 at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.
The 2024 Total Energies CHAN final will see two-time champions Morocco face off Madagascar at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
CS Mvurya while addressing journalists at the stadium said high level dignitaries including FIFA president Gianni Infantino, Madagascar President Senior Government officials from Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya are set to grace the Closing ceremony
The Closing Ceremony is the celebration of the cultures of the three Host Nations; Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda with trilling performances from some of the region’s finest artists among other activities.
The match will bring down the curtain on a competition that began on August 2 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and has captivated football lovers across the continent.
Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe, alongside all 54 presidents of African national football associations, is also expected to grace the occasion.

The CHAN 2024 closes with pride, while opening a world of possibilities for more international matches on Kenyan soil, having once again demonstrated our readiness and potential on the global stage.
The CS urged Kenyans to arrive early at the stadium for the highly anticipated CHAN final and the closing ceremony.
“Kenyans with valid tickets, let us come out in large numbers to MISC, Kasarani For those without the 5 Fan zones across Nairobi and across the country are ready to host the final game”.
