Njabini Health Centre Facelift Wins Praise from Locals and stakeholders
NYANDARUA, Kenya, Apr 14 – The face of healthcare in Njabini is undergoing a remarkable shift, sparking widespread appreciation from the public and local leadership alike, At the center of this praise is Hon. Kwenya Thuku, whose strategic oversight and support for critical infrastructure projects at the Njabini Health Centre have significantly boosted service delivery.
Local residents expressed deep gratitude for the MP’s steadfast commitment to regional development, specifically citing her instrumental role in securing funding for the facility and advocating for road improvements aimed at enhancing access to essential services.
The Treasurer, Joyce Speaking on behalf of the facility’s management committee commended stakeholders for their support and commitment to improving the health centre noting that when the committee was first appointed, members were uncertain about where to begin, but received guidance and support that helped them take the first steps.
“We were not sure where to start, but when we sought help, we were guided and supported. We are very grateful for the good work that has been done and we are confident that this progress will continue,” she said.
She also thanked the government for providing the health facility, noting that it has greatly improved access to healthcare for residents in the area.
Njabini Health Centre Chairman, Peter Mwangi Maina echoed the sentiments, highlighting the role played by Hon. Thuku in advancing development projects.
“We are very grateful to Hon. Kwenya Thuku for encouraging and supporting improvement of Njabini Health Centre, this will make a great difference in our community as it will boost service delivery,” he said.
The leaders also pointed to ongoing infrastructure improvements, particularly along the Njabini–Gatura Road.
Hon. Thuku further requested the extension of one section of the road to Njabini Health Centre to ease access to medical services.
Another stretch extending to Mt. Kinangop Secondary School has already been completed, significantly improving connectivity in the area.
Residents noted that before these developments, accessing essential services was a challenge due to poor road conditions and difficult terrain.
The improvements have since reduced travel time and eased movement, especially for patients seeking medical care.
Community members and leaders expressed optimism that continued collaboration between the government, local leadership and residents will further enhance development in Njabini, particularly in healthcare and infrastructure.
