Skyward Express Launches Scheduled Flights to Vipingo Ridge

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 14 – Skyward Express has formally inaugurated its new scheduled service between Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and the premier Vipingo Ridge, a strategic move aimed at streamlining travel to Kenya’s North Coast.

This latest expansion not only enhances the carrier’s domestic footprint but also offers business and leisure travelers a sophisticated direct link to one of the region’s most exclusive coastal destinations.

The inaugural flight was flagged off by the Regional Airport Manager – Wilson Airport and Northern Region, Ms. Selina Gor. The launch event was attended by CEO Skyward Airlines, Ms. Diana Nyambura, and CEO Vipingo Ridge, Mr. Alex Horsey,  underscoring the strong partnership driving the initiative.

The newly introduced route represents a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing access to the coastal destination while expanding travel options for passengers. Operating twice weekly, every Friday and Saturday, the service provides travellers with a faster and more convenient alternative to the lengthy road journey.

Beyond convenience, the connection is expected to stimulate tourism, facilitate business travel, and support economic activity along Kenya’s coast, reinforcing the vital role of aviation in regional development and connectivity.

Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) reiterated its commitment to enabling efficient airport operations and supporting partnerships that expand access, drive growth and enhance passenger experience across the country’s aviation network.
