Bomet man arrested for allegedly beheading his two children

BOMET, Kenya, Apr 12 – A middle-aged man identified as Geoffrey Kipkemoi has been arrested after allegedly beheading his two children aged 2 and 7 years in Tach Asis, Konoin Sub-county, Bomet County.

Edward Imbwaga, Bomet County police Commandant while confirming the shocking incident which left villagers shaken revealed that kipkemoi is believed to have used a kitchen knife to commit the act leaving his children lifeless bodies in the kitchen.

According to neighbours they revealed that the suspect had returned home after a drinking spree on friday night adding that suspect and his wife who was not there as the incident happened had experienced disputes which had resulted to fights.

The county police Commandant said that police officers recovered suspected weapon used to commit the act at the crime scene, suspect already in police custody.

Lifeless bodies have been moved to Kapkatet Hospital Mortuary as police officers commence investigation into the incident.
